DARK CITY #6/2001 Review by AhK English Translation by V. Kovalenko Book of Illusions: Chapter I This 25-minute long demo, from which an excellent album can be made, has apparently been recorded within a reasonable budget. Despite the fact that one person made it on a modest 4-track(tape) recorder, the miraculous atmosphere of experiemental ambient/doom has been beautifully conveyed. Sometimes the album reminded me the music of their contrymen Agolloch; however, Book of Illusions is much more majestic and mysterious. Imagine yourself on a quiet warm evening on a deserted ocean shore, and the music, which would emphasize your feeling at that moment, would be called VLE. Rating: 5/5 stars dark-city.narod.ru |
